WALKING WITH CHRIST

Our Church can be defined using two words: Evangelical and Waldensian. Evangelical expresses the reality of the Protestant Reformation and its plan to return to the earliest Christian congregations and the purification of faith. The Waldensians (like all Protestants) emphasize this belief by defining the basis of Christian belief in three parts: Scripture, Christ and Faith…..nothing more.

1. Scripture: The Bible should be the only source from which the Church finds inspiration in its work and its witness. It is to the Bible which we must turn whenever we wish to know the will of God and it is only the Bible which contains the words of truth which we need in our lives.
2. Christ: Being Christian means having full faith in the work of Christ and living in communion with Him because man's salvation and hope is found only in the teaching and the work of Christ.
3. Faith: We are saved, or as Saint Paul says, justified, only by faith. This means that nobody deserves salvation but we can and we should accept it as God's gift to us.
