The Italian Roman Catholic Episcopal Conference has made public the details of how their 1998 "otto per mille"* funds have been spent. (* O.P.M. ie. lire 8 of lire 1.000 of paid Income Tax can be covenanted either to the church of tax-payer's choice or to State Welfare funds).
The allocations were as follows (information taken from Il Sole 24 ore,10th April 1999):

A comparison between the allocation of OPM funds carried out by the Waldensian church and that of the Roman Catholic church can be made clearer by using the above figures; the results of the comparison are as Waldensian church

NB. (1) Special ministries carried out by the Waldensian church: social, welfare and cultural projects.

It can also be pointed out that the 1998 voluntary Covenant funds,ie.the sum deductable from Income Tax (IRPEF) of Italian citizens in favour of the Roman Catholic church, ammounted to lire 42 billion, equal to 5% of total sum needed for maintenance of clergy.
